BIBLICAL POEMS FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN BY SOBORI K FRANCIS

BIBLICAL POEMS WRITTEN BY FRANCIS

CHILDREN

CHILDREN! CHILDREN!;

"Let the little children come to Me, JESUS
 And do not forbid them;
For of such is the kingdom of God.
 Assuredly, I say to you,
 Whoever does not receive
The kingdom of God
 As a little child
Will by no means enter it."
Train up a child
In the way he should go,
And when he is old
He will not depart from it.
He who spares his rod
Hates his son,
But he who loves him
 Disciplines him promptly.

HEAVEN

Heaven!    Heaven! –
The Great City, The Holy Jerusalem
Heaven, The planet created by GOD
For Himself and Angels to dwell,
And the Righteous after judgement.
Having great and high wall with twelve gates
Neither sun nor moon needs to shine,
No night nor darkness there,
The glory of GOD illuminates it,
Her light like precious stone, clear as crystal.
Full of pure gold like class
Pure river of water of life, proceeding from GODS throne,
And tree of life there.
GOD will wipe away every tear,
No more death, sorrow nor pain there
Heaven! ,  Heaven!

HELL

HELL!  HELL!
A place prepared
By God,
Lake of unquenchable burning fire
And brimstone.
A place of unceasing
Torment, pain, Sorrow and Lamentation.
 Originally prepared
 For Satan and his Angels.
 Not for man.
Because of disobedience to God
And obedience to Satan deceptions,
Gate of hell opened to man.
Obey God and disobey Satan,
Escape hell.
Or obey Satan and disobey God,
Go to hell.
The power lies
In your hands.

SIN

         SIN!    SIN!
The name I hate,
And you need to hate too
What is it? And where from it?
Sin, lawlessness or transgression of GODS WILL,
Either by omitting to do what GODS law requires or
Doing what it forbids.
Mankind created,
 Without sin, morally upright
 And inclined to do good.
But sin entered human     experience,
When Adam and Eve,
Disobeyed GODS command,
Eating the forbidden fruit.
Consequences of sin;
Separation from GOD,
Slavery,
Death on earth
And in hell fire.
Run from sin;
Save your destiny and life.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

I thank GOD the father, Son and Holy Spirit; who did not spared His only begotten Son; but delivered Him up to the world. By whom I also who was at far have received grace upon grace and now am also counted among the children of GOD.
Thanks be to our Lord JESUS CHRIST for humbling Himself; and leaving His glory, throne and crown and came to laid down his life for salvation of the world; And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation;  And have made us kings and priests to our God;
I thank HOLY SPIRIT for teaching me the word of GOD, fear of GOD and giving me understanding; by the help of the HOLY SPIRIT am able to present myself a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is my reasonable service.  And  not be conformed to this world, but am transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
And this day am a vessel in the hands of GOD; and HE had used me to compile this bible lesson guide; and will be using me for greater works to transform and bless my world.
God richly bless all the men and women of GOD through whom HE has brought me up to this level in my Christian life. Especially Pastor Stephen Martey (Christway Gospel Mission) and his wife.

INTRODUCTION
It is of more blessing for one to know GOD, to fear HIM, to give your life to HIM and walk in HIS ways from early ages.
Our LORD JESUS CHRIST is calling on the church and Christian parents to do all their best to lead the little ones to GOD; teaching them to fear GOD, the love of GOD and the judgement of GOD.
The word GOD says;
Mark 10:13-16. 13 Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.  14 But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.  15 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it."  16 And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them. NKJV
Prov 22:6. 6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. NKJV
This booklet will guide the teacher to follow a logical sequence to fulfill the above scriptures in performing his or her duty.

SALVATION FOUNDATION

LESSON TOPIC 1: GOD

BEFORE ONE CAN GIVE HIS OR HER LIFE TO GOD OR WORSHIP HIM WELL; THE ONE MUST FIRST KNOW WHOM GOD IS.

WHO IS GOD?
GOD is the creator and sustainer of the universe who has provided humankind with a revelation of Himself through the natural world and through His Son, Jesus Christ.

The Bible does not seek to prove the existence of God; it simply affirms His existence by declaring, "In the beginning God..." (Gen 1:1). God has revealed Himself through the physical universe (Ps 19:1; Rom 1:19-20). By observing the universe, one can find positive indications of God's existence. Creation reveals the results of a universal mind that devised a master plan and executed it. It makes more sense to accept the idea of God as Creator of the universe than to assume that our orderly universe came into existence apart from a divine being.

The greatest revelation of God, however, comes through the Bible. Through the inspired written record, both the existence of God and the nature of God are revealed in and through Jesus Christ. Jesus stated, "He that has seen me, has seen the Father" (John 14:9).

Although the full revelation of God was in Jesus Christ, the human mind cannot fully understand God. One reason for this is that Scripture does not record all the actions and teachings of Jesus (John 21:25). Another reason is the limitation of the human mind. How can man's finite mind understand the infinity of God? It is not possible.

Although we cannot fully understand God, we still can know Him. We know Him through a personal relationship of faith and through a study of what the Bible teaches about His nature.
God may be described in terms of attributes. An attribute is an inherent characteristic of a person or being. While we cannot describe God in a comprehensive way, we can learn about Him by examining His attributes as revealed in the Bible. The first group is known as the natural attributes of God.

NATURAL ATTRIBUTES OF GOD

(ALL MUST BE EXPLAINED AND RELATED TO OUR LIVES; EG IF GOD IS ALL POWERFUL HOW SHOULD WE RELATE TO HIM, IF GOD IS EVERY WHERE HOW SHOULD WE CONDUCT OURSELVES WHERE EVER WE ARE)

Ø God Is Spirit. Jesus taught that "God is Spirit" (John 4:24). God has no body, no physical or measurable form. Thus, God is invisible. He became visible in human form in the person of Jesus Christ, but His essence is invisible.

Ø God Is Changeless. Progress and change may characterize some of His works, but God Himself remains unchanged (Heb 1:12). He does not change; otherwise, He would not be perfect. Thus, what we know of God can be known with certainty. He is not different from one time to another.

Ø God Is All Powerful. God's power is unlimited. He can do anything that is not inconsistent with His nature, character, and purpose (Gen 17:1; 18:14). The only limitations on God's power are imposed by Himself (Gen 18:25). "Impossible" is not in God's vocabulary. God creates and sustains all things; yet He never grows weary (Isa 40:27-31).

Ø God Is All Knowing. God possesses all knowledge (Job 38:39; Rom 11:33-36). Because God is everywhere at one and the same time, He knows everything simultaneously. That God has the power to know the thoughts and motives of every heart is evident from many Scripture passages, notably Job 37:16; Ps 147:5, and Heb 3:13.

Ø God Is Everywhere. God is not confined to any part of the universe but is present in all His power at every point in space and every moment in time (Ps 139:7-12). Thus, God does not belong to any one nation or generation. He is the God of all the earth (Gen 18:25).

Ø God Is Eternal. Eternity refers to God's relation to time. Past, present, and future          are known equally to Him (2 Peter 3:8; Rev 1:8). Time is like a parade that man            sees only a segment at a time. But God sees time in its entirety.

The second group of attributes is called moral attributes. These refer to God's character, His essential nature.

MORAL ATTRIBUTES OF GOD

Ø God Is Holy. The word holy comes from a root word that means "to separate." Thus, it refers to God as separated from or exalted above other things (Isa 6:1-3). Holiness refers to God's moral excellence. Being holy, God demands holiness in His own children. And what He demands, He supplies. Holiness is God's gift that we receive by faith through His Son, Jesus Christ (Eph 4:24).

Ø God Is Righteous. Righteousness as applied to God refers to His affirmation of what is right as opposed to what is wrong. The righteousness of God refers to His moral laws laid down to guide the conduct of humankind, as in the Ten Commandments. Righteousness also refers to God's administration of justice. He brings punishment upon the disobedient (Gen 18:25; Deut 32:4; Rom 2:6-16). Finally, God's righteousness is redemptive. In the Book of Romans the righteousness of God refers to God declaring the believer to be in a state of righteousness as though he had never been unrighteous (Rom 1:16-17; 3:24-26). This is possible because of the sacrificial death of Jesus on our behalf.

Ø God Is Love. Love is the essential, self-giving nature of God. God's love for man seeks to awaken a responsive love of man for God. Divine love runs like a golden thread through the entire Bible. Nature is eloquent with the skill, wisdom, and power of God. Only in the Bible, however, do we discover God giving Himself and all He possesses to His creatures, in order to win their response and to possess them for Himself.
God loved and gave; He loved and sought-just as a shepherd seeks his sheep. God loved and suffered, providing His love by giving His all on the cross for the redemption of humanity. God, in His love, wills good for all His creatures (Gen 1:31; Ps 145:9; Mark 10:18).

God Is Truth. All truth, whether natural, physical, or religious, is grounded in God. Thus, any seemingly inconsistent teaching between natural and physical sciences and God's revelation of Himself is more apparent than real. Truth is magnified in an absolute way through God's revelation.

Ø God Is Wisdom. God's wisdom is revealed in His doing the best thing, in the best way, at the best time for the best purpose.
Some people have knowledge, but little wisdom, while the most wise at times have little knowledge. But God is "the only wise God" (1 Tim 1:17). In creation, history, human lives, redemption, and Christ, His divine wisdom is revealed. Man, lacking wisdom, can claim God's wisdom simply by asking (1 Kings 3:9; James 1:5).
The believer's understanding of God continues to increase throughout his earthly pilgrimage. It will finally be complete in eternity when he stands in the presence of God.

TRINITY

The coexistence of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in the unity of the Godhead (divine nature or essence). The doctrine of the trinity means that within the being and activity of the one God there are three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Although the word trinity does not appear in the Bible, the "trinitarian formula" is mentioned in the Great Commission (Matt 28:19) and in the benediction of the apostle Paul's Second Epistle to the Corinthians (2 Cor 13:14).

LESSON TOPIC 2: CREATION

Creation is God's action in creating the natural universe out of nothing. The writer of the Epistle to the Hebrews in the New Testament declared, "By faith we understand that the world was framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible" (Heb 11:3).

(EXPLAINING FROM THE SCRIPTURES TO THEM HOW GOD CREATED ALL THINGS)

GENESIS
                                     The History of Creation
(Gen 2:4-9; Job 38:4-11; John 1:1-5)
1 In the beginning God created th heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3 Then God said,"Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 Then God said,"Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." 7 Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 Then God said,"Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
11 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth"; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 Then God said, "Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens." 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying,"Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth." 23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind"; and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said,"Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them,"Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
29 And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food"; and it was so. 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

The Garden of Eden

2 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
4 This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; 6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

                                                                                Life in God's Garden
8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. 9 And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10 Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. 11 The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there. 13 The name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one which goes around the whole land of Cush. 14 The name of the third river is Hiddekel; it is the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.
15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
18 And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him." 19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
23 And Adam said:
"This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man."
24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
NKJV

WHY GOD CREATED THE WORLD

GOD created all things for HIS GLORY and HIS PLEASURE.
Isaiah 43:7
7 Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him." NKJV
Psalm 19:1
19 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.
Revelation 4:11
11 "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created." NKJV

LESSON TOPIC 3: MAN

WHO IS MAN?
MAN is GOD’S highest creation, made in GOD’S own image from the dust of the ground, and GOD breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

THE MAKE UP OF MAN
Every Man (human being) is made up of three components;
1 Thess 5:23
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. NKJV

THE WILL OF MAN
GOD gave Man his will to take decisions on his own and to be responsible for his own actions. This is the  reason why GOD putted the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden so that HE would not control man like a robot.
Gen 2:15-17. 15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." NKJV

Eccl 11:9 9 Rejoice, O young man, in your youth,
And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth;
Walk in the ways of your heart,
And in the sight of your eyes;
But know that for all these
God will bring you into judgment. NKJV

THE PURPOSE OF CREATING MAN

A.     Man was created to have fellowship with God. God used to visit Adam and Eve in the garden for fellowship.

Gen 3:8.  And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. NKJV

B.      For man to glorify God through worship and praises and all that they do.

1 Cor 10:31. Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. NKJV

C.      To have dominion over all the creation of GOD.

Gen 1:26. Then God said,"Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." NKJV

MAN IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN
GOD took his time and prepared a special garden, a place where life will be comfortable and enjoyable for man. God put in the garden all the things they would ever need in their life which they need neither to struggle nor work for. Adam and Eve were living happily in the garden and were enjoying better life there and GOD used to visit them.

THE DECEIVER (SATAN)

When satan saw Adam and Eve in such a state, he (satan) was not happy, satan jealous Adam and Eve. He planned how he could make Adam and Eve forfeit the garden and everything that GOD had given into their hands.
Satan watched jealously until one day when Adam was not in the garden and he came secretly to Eve with the deceptions that he had planned.
Gen 3:1-5
1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?"
2 And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'"
4 Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." NKJV

WAYS THROUGH WHICH THE DECEIVER (SATAN) CAN COME TO YOU

Satan is a spirit and cannot come to you physically in his personality. Among the ways through which he can come to you includes the following;
A.     The MIND. Because satan is a spirit, he can come to you through your mind which if you are not a matured Christian you may not know. He does that by using the five senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell) of man to project evil thoughts in your mind. And will be talking to you in your mind and influencing you to take into action those thoughts.

B.      Satan can come to you also through other people. Because of Satan’s spiritual nature, he can enter any worldly person and come to you in disguise of the person to cause you to do evil like the way he used Eve to deceived Adam.

C.      Satan can use any other thing as well, animals and worldly things.

WHY SATAN MAY COME TO YOU TROUGH ANY OF THE ABOVE WAYS.
John 10:10. The thief (satan) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. NKJV

THE FALL OF MAN
Eve wasn’t strong enough to hold onto the word (commandment) of GOD and to resist satan, and she was not discerning to know the evil and wicked motive behind satan’s action. And she believed and obeyed satan rather than her creator. When satan had gotten Eve, he used her as a way to come to Adam. Adam also couldn’t stand.

Gen 3:6-7
6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. NKJV

CONSEQUENCES OF ADAM AND EVE DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD AND OBEDIENCE TO SATAN

i.            Adam and Eve lose their confidence to welcome GOD when HE visits them.        And  fear started to rule over them.

Gen 3:8-11
8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?"
10 So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself."
11 And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?" NKJV

ii.                  Adam and Eve forfeited the garden which GOD prepared for them.

Gen 3:23-24
23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; NKJV
iii.                Adam loses the free supply of his life necessities from GOD. Now Adam has to find his own way of providing for himself his needs.

Gen 3:17-19
17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it':
"Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. 18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. 19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return." NKJV
iv.               Eve also has to pass through pain during conception before she can deliver.

Gen 3:16
16 To the woman He said: "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you. NKJV
v.                   It brought enmity between man and the serpent and most of GOD’S creation.

Gen 3:15
15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel." NKJV
vi.               Man loses his eternal existence (immortality). Adam and Eve became subject to death. This is the MOST SERIOUS CONSEQUENCE OF ALL. GOD foretold them and warned them of it.

Gen 2:16-17.
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." NKJV
Gen 3:19. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return."  NKJV
These consequences of Adam and Eve disobedience to GOD’S commandments has affected all the generations after them up to today.

LESSON TOPIC 4; SIN

The disobedience of Adam and Eve to GOD and their obedience to satan has brought SIN into the world.
What is SIN?
Sin means lawlessness (1 John 3:4) or transgression of God’s will, either by omitting to do what God’s law requires or by doing what it forbids. The transgression can occur in thought (1 John 3:15), word (Matt 5:22) or deed (Romans 1:32).
Mankind was created without sin, morally upright and inclined to do good (Eccl 7:29). But sin entered into human experience when Adam and Eve violated the direct command of God by eating the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden (Gen 3:6). Because Adam was the head and representative of the whole human race, his sin affected all future generations (Rom 5:12-21). Associated with this guilt is a corrupted nature passed from Adam to all his descendants. Out of this perverted nature arise all the sins that people commit (Matt 15:19); no person is free from involvement in sin (Rom 3:23).

FORMS OF SIN
Sin can be categorized into the following groups;
A.    Inherited sin. This is the sin which Adam and Eve committed, and is been transferred to the entire human race. It means even if you haven’t committed a sin before you still have sin.

Ps 51:5
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.
B.     Unpardonable sin and pardonable sin: The first category refers to sins that when committed, there is no forgiveness for you. And the later refers to sins that when committed, you can ask for forgiveness it will be forgiven.
Matt 12:31-32
31 "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.  32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. NKJV

C.     Sin that is inside or outside the body. The former refers to sins that are committed in the body of a person and the later also refers to sins that are committed outside the body of a person.

1 Cor 6:18-20
18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? NKJV
(Apart from sexual immorality, there other sins like alcoholism, smoking and the like which are committed against the body and in the body)

CONSEQUENCES OF SIN
Sin has numerous consequences but the major ones are discussed below.
A.    Separation from GOD. Sin keeps you far from God and keeps you close to satan.

Isa 59:1-2Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.

B.    Slavery. When sin separates you from God, it sends you into captivity under satan and you becomes his slave.

John 8:34-35
34 Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.  35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. NKJV
C.     Death (on earth and in hell). The main and most terrible consequence of sin is destruction both on earth in hell fire.

Rom 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. NKJV
Gen 6:5-8
5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them." NKJV

LESSON TOPIC 5; THE LOVE OF GOD FOR MAN

GOD love man before creating him, Gen 1:26-28. 26 Then God said,"Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (NKJV) God creating man kind in his own image and likeness tells that the love of God for mankind is beyond limit and unconditional.
Because of the unsearchable love of GOD for man, when man disobeyed him, HE was having every right to wipe away man from the face of the earth, but HE did not do that.
The unchanging love of GOD for man, made GOD to give man another chance so that if man will be wiling and obedient and repent from his evil and wicked ways and return to GOD, HE will receive him and have him back for the original plan and purpose of creating man.
The love of GOD for man caused HIM to grant man the opportunity to offer sacrifices for sins in order to have forgiveness for his sins and escape the dreadful consequences of sin.
All these attempts made by GOD to redeem man to HIMSELF again was futile, but GOD never gave up on man because HE loved man.
The of love GOD made HIM to go another extra and now the final mile to restore man and redeem him from perishing in his sins by given his only begotten son to the world.
John 3:16-20
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. NKJ

JESUS CHRIST TOOK AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD
The son of GOD purposely came for the salvation of the world; HE took upon himself the sin of world and paid for it with HIS BLOOD and LIFE through server pain.
Isa 53:5
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. KJV
Matt 27:27-50
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole garrison around Him. 28 And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. 29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!" 30 Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head. 31 And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified.
The King on a Cross
(Mark 15:21-32; Luke 23:26-43; John 19:17-27)
32 Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross. 33 And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull, 34 they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink.
35 Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet:
"They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots."
36 Sitting down, they kept watch over Him there. 37 And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him:

THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
38 Then two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and another on the left.
39 And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads 40 and saying,"You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross."
41 Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, said, 42 "He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.   43 He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.'"
44 Even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing.
Jesus Dies on the Cross
(Mark 15:33-41; Luke 23:44-49; John 19:28-30)
45 Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
47 Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, "This Man is calling for Elijah!" 48 Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.
49 The rest said, "Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him."
50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. NKJV

RESTORATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
JESUS CHRIST is the only one through whom we can obtain forgiveness of sins, redemption from the powers of darkness (slavery), salvation and restoration to GOD and HIS original plan for mankind.
John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. NKJV

RESTORATION STEPS
A.    Self-acknowledgement: When one get to the point of realizing that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD (Romans 3:23); and as a result had been cut off from GOD; and is going to perish in the lake of fire (hell); and therefore needs salvation and restoration. This is where restoration starts.

B.     Repentance: The second step is you regretting of the sins that you had ever committed; and making you mind not to repeat them again in your life but will give your life to GOD; and live a new life in accordance to HIS word for him.
2 Cor 5:17
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. NKJV

C.     Confession: At this juncture, you have to confess your sins to the lord JESUS CHRIST; and ask for forgiveness – (1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. NKJV ). And believing that JESUS CHRIST died on the cross for our sins; and was buried; and HE rose on the third day; and is sat down at the right hand of the father interceding for us.
And accepting JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and personal SAVIOR.
Rom 10:10
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. NKJV

D.    Baptism: This is the final step in the restoration process. After taking the above steps, you have to be baptized in water symbolizing that you have died with the LORD JESUS CHRIST and buried the old person with HIM; and has risen with HIM as a new person; and is been initiated into the kingdom of GOD. Now you are born again CHRISTIAN into the kingdom of GOD (Restored)

John 3:3-7
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. NKJV

LESSON TOPIC 6: GROWTH OF BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN

God in His wisdom has made almost all His creation to be subject to GROWTH. And it is very important in every human life and all things having life as well.
Growth simple means progressive developments that take place in the life of a person or something which brings about maturity, better understanding, improvements in life and many more.
Every new born again Christian is just like new born baby and therefore needs to grow.

THE REQUISITE NECESSITIES FOR GROWTH
A.    The Word of GOD:
 John 1:1-14
The Eternal Word
(Gen 1:1-2:3)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John's Witness: The True Light
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.  10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. The Word Becomes Flesh 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. NKJV

The word of GOD is breast milk for the new born again Christian which s/he has to be fed with regularly. Just like a new born baby cannot feed him or herself with the breast milk of her mother, the new born again Christian also has to be helped by a matured Christian by way of teaching and explaining into details the word of GOD to him or her. And encouraging him or her to live by the word of GOD and to practice it.

1 Peter 2:1-2
2 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as new born babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby. NKJV
Without the word of GOD no one whether been a new born again or matured Christian can survive as a Christian.
Deut 8:3
3 So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.  NKJV
B.    Fellowship: It means gathering [attending church services, group meetings, prayer meetings and all church programs] with all kinds of levels of Christians in the house of GOD to worship, praise, listen to teachings and preaching  , pray and have encounter with GOD. And also participating in the activities that go on in the house of GOD as much as you are permitted. Fellowship facilitates a rapid growth in the life of a new born again Christian within a short time.

Heb 10:24-25
24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. NKJV
C.     Prayer: Prayer is a spiritual exercise for every Christian by which spiritual strength is builded; the strength to grow and to stand challenges. Prayer allows you to bring before GOD you weakness and shortcomings for help to overcome. Prayer draws you closer to GOD and gives HIM the chance and mandate to intervene in everything that has to do with your Christian life. For a new born again Christian to grow, s/he needs to learn and cultivate prayer life.

Isa 40:29-31
29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. 1 Thess 5:17 .17 pray without ceasing, NKJV
BENEFITS OF GROWTH

LESSON TOPIC 7,HEAVEN AND HELL

HEAVEN is the planet which GOD created for HIMSELF and HIS Angels to dwell. And where the righteous will go after judgement. Heaven is a place without any evil; - troubles, problems, death, sickness, pain, sin and so on.
Gen 1:1-In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. NKJV
Rev 21:9-22:5
9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, "Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife."   10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.
14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. 17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

The Glory of the New Jerusalem
22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honour into it.   25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honour of the nations into it.   27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
REVELATION 22:1-5
The River of Life
22 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever. NKJV

WAS HEAVEN CREATED FOR MAN?

According to scriptures, GOD originally did not created heaven for man but GOD created the earth to be inhabited by man.
Gen 1:26-29
26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." 29 And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. NKJV
Gen 2:8-9
8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. NKJV

NOW WHY WILL MAN BE TAKEN TO HEAVEN
A.     Sin; the disobedience of Adam and Eve has brought sin on earth which has affected all the creation of GOD making all corrupted.
Gen 3:6-7. 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. NKJV
B.    The plan of GOD remains unchanged; satan by deceiving man to flout the commandments of GOD thought he could bring the purpose of GOD for creating man to nothing and cut off the love GOD have for man. God want to prove satan wrong by preparing a new place in heaven for man which is by far more better than the earth.

John 14:1-4
14 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.  2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.   3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. NKJV

HOW LIFE WILL BE IN HEAVEN
Rev 21:4-5
4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful." NKJV

REQUISITE REQUIREMENT FOR ENTRY INTO HEAVEN
John 14:6-7
6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. NKJV
(REFER TO THE LOVE OF GOD FOR MAN)

HELL
Hell is a place prepared by GOD. It is a lake full of unquenchable burning fire and brimstone, a place of unceasing torment, pain, sorrow, lamentation, destruction and all sorts of punishments.
GOD originally prepared hell for the punishment of satan and the angels who rise against GOD in heaven. Hell was not prepared for man. But because man disobeyed GOD and has given in to satan deceptions, that is how come that anyone who is obeying satan is going to be cast into hell fire for him or her to continue with satan there.
BIBLE STORY OF HELL BY JESUS CHRIST
Luke 16:19-31
The Rich Man and Lazarus
19 "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.  20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.  22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.  23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 "Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.'  25 But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.  26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.'
27 "Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house,  28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.'  29 Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.'  30 And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.'  31 But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'" NKJV

THOSE WHO WILL GO TO HELL
Rev 20:10
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. NKJV
Rev 20:11-15
The Great White Throne Judgment
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.   15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. NKJV
