Princess’ parent are Mr and Mrs Odeneho, they live in a fine three self-contained rented house. Princess is their only child. Mr. Odeneho is a business tycoon and doesn’t have time for God.
Angels’ parent are Mr and Mrs Nyamebekyere, they live in a rented chamber and hall. They have two children and Angel is their first born. The family is a Christian family and they love God.)

(It is Monday dawn)
[Mr and Mrs Nyamebekyere have woken up,]

Mr. Nyamebekyere; Grace please what says the time?
Ms. Grace; please it is four o’clock am.
Mr. Nyamebekyere; ok, we have woke up on time; wake up Angel for us to have our morning devotion.
[They are ready for the devotion]

Mr. Nyamebekere; Please Grace lead us through prayers for ten minutes.
Ms. Grace; Please let us stand up on our feet. *She raised a song- daanaase*. Let us give thanks to God for a new day and the gift of life. Let us pray committing our everything to God this day.
Mr. Nyamebekyere; God bless you Grace. Angel please you will read the bible.
Today our bible text will be taken from Psalm 1:1 to the last verse. Angel read for us.

[They have finished the devotion]

Mr. Nyamebekyere; Angel go and take your bath, come and learn small before going to school.
Ms. Grace; now it is time, take up your books, bag and go so that you will not be late.
Angel; please okay, - mummy please am going.
Ms. Grace; okay, have you taken your money?
Angel; please yes mummy.
Ms. Grace; Take good care, learn hard and may God go with you. It is my desire and prayer for you to be a great person one day. Goodbye.

[It is five o’clock am, Odeneho has woken up,]

Mr. Odeneho; Akos! Have you finish preparing Princess’s breakfast?
Akos; Please yes.
Mr. Odeneho; make warn water ready for Princess and go wake her up to go and bath.
Akos; please it is already.
Akos; master please I have served her breakfast and dressed her up.
Mr. Odeneho; put one pizza and one don-Simon drink in her bag for her.
Princess; daddy I am going, when mummy wake up tell her that am gone.
Mr. Odeneho; okay, is the money enough for?
Princess; yes, bye.
(SOME DAYS LATER)

[Princess and Angel came from school one afternoon; none of their parents were in the house. So when Princess got home she dropped her bag in the porch without removing her uniform ran to Angel’s house.]

Princess; Angel let us go to the cafe and browse; you are going to see a lot of things that you have not seen before.
Angel; I am having house work to do before my mother comes from the market- sweeping, fetching water, washing of plates, bowls and doing the assignment given. Even besides that am not having money to go and pay.
Princess: have you forgotten whom I am? - Princess, Dadaba! The daughter of Mr. Odeneho! Come on! You don’t have problem concerning money at all and we are not going to keep long there. I will teach you how to watch any type of video that you want on the internet, make friends on social media and lastly I will give you money for your pocket that can take care of you for about a week.
Angel; wow! Okay.

[Angel gave in to her persuasion because they are friends and always move together.]
[So Angel left all her work and they went to the cafe. They started browsing social media, watching all sort of videos and playing games. Now Angel has even forgotten of her work and they were there.]

[Mr and Mrs Nyamebekyere has arrive.]

Mother (Grace) calls; - Angel! Come and help me convey the load inside. Angel!! Where are you?
Mr. Nyamebekyere; it seems she is not there.
Mr. Nyamebekyere: look, the door is lying opened. Let me check Princess’s their house to see if she is there.
Mr. Nyamebekyere; Kokooko, kokooko,- nobody is there.
Ms. Grace: please is she there?
Mr. Nyamebekyere; no, she is not there.
Ms. Grace: my husband, we have to put our feet down, if not Angel will pick up a different character.  The bible says train up the child the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it,
Mr. Nyamebekyere: it is very true, the bible also says Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him.
Ms. Grace: please, darkness will be coming very soon, go to the cafe and check if you can find her there.
Mr. Nyamebekyere; please OK, where is the Cane that you brought last time?
Ms. Grace: please it is under the bed.
Mr. Nyamebekyere; OK, I have seen it; I will be back very soon.
Ms. Grace: please when you go and she is there please exercise patience and bring her home before disciplining her.
Mr. Nyamebekyere: please I hear my dear.

[Mr. Nyamebekyere is at the cafe, there are a lot of children there, so he took his time and searched through the children until he got to the last corner and looked Angel and Princess. Immediately he holds the two of them and pull them from the face of the computer.]

Mr. Nyamebekyere; I wouldn’t have problem with you if you were learning on the internet but here is the case you are watching videos which a child supposed not to watch and browsing social media which will not profit you anything.
Mr. Nyamebekyere; move! And let us go home.
Mr. Nyamebekyere; get inside the hall. Kneel down and raise up your hands.

[And he lashed them very well.]
[Princess; went home crying on top of her voice because she haven’t received such lashes before in her life time, not even at school.]

[Not long, Mr and Mrs Odeneho arrived]

Ms. Beauty: what has happened to you, my husband come and see, Princess has been beaten mercilessly, and who is that idiot who did this to you? Stop crying my lovely daughter. The person is going to smell pepper this evening.
Princess; its Angel’s father who lashed me.
Mr. Odeneho; because of what?
Princess; I went to the cafe with Angel.
Mr. Odeneho; Stop crying, we are going to deal with him and tomorrow I will buy you laptop and smart phone and you will need not to even go to the cafe again.

 [Princess has stopped crying.]

[Mr and Mrs Odeneho went to Mr. Nyamebekyeres’ house.]

Mr. Odeneho; where are you?
Ms. Grace; my husband, someone is calling out side, aah it’s Princess Parent, let us go and meet them,
Ms. Odeneho; how dare you lashed my daughter, do you know how much I give her in a day, you are warned. If you try it next time I will show you where power lies.
Mr and Mrs Nyamebekyere; please we are sorry; it won’t happen again, forgive us.

(SOME YEARS LATER,)

[IN THE HOUSE OF MR AND MRS NYAMEBEKYERE.]

[They have just finished eating their evening meal.]

Mr. Nyamebekyere; it’s time for bible discussion and prayers,
Angel, please you will read the bible, Grace please you will lead us through prayers after I have finished with the discussion.
Mr. Nyamebekyere; father in heaven thanks be to your most holy name for taking us through the day successfully, it’s time for our evening devotion, we invite your presence into our midst to take control over everything, I pray for Holy Spirit who is our teacher, reminder and comforter to fill us. Thank you Lord, in Jesus name I pray Amen.
Mr. Nyamebekyere; our bible quotation will be taking from romans 8:28, Angel please read.

[They have finished with the bible discussion and the prayers.]

Mr. Nyamebekyere; Angel go and sleep so that you can wake up early and learn before going to school.
Angel; please daddy and mummy I am going to bed.
Mr. and Mrs. Nyamebekyere; have a sound sleep bye.

[Now left father and mother:]

Mr. Nyamebekyere; Grace, Angel will be completing JHS very soon, the money that we are saving for her education; I suggest that we shouldn’t touch it, now that we have free SHS. But we should tighten our belts to cater for her secondary education and reserve that savings for her tertiary education.
Ms. Grace; my husband that is a brilliant idea I will support it.
Mr. Nyamebekyere; God bless you Grace, let us go and rest for tomorrow.

[In the house of Mr. Odeneho]

[Princess is on social media with her laptop and phone]

Ms. Beauty; you are really enjoying you laptop and phone.
Princess; yes mummy.
Mr. Odeneho; [looking at his watch] it’s time for kunkum bagya, let us get inside if not we will miss today’s episode.
[They have finished watching the program]

Princess; I am going to bed.
Mr. and Mrs. Odeneho; okay, good night.

 [PARENT LEFT]

Mr. Odeneho; Princess will be completing JHS very soon, at all cost she must pass the exams, am planning of buying her all the questions and get someone to solve all for her. All she has to do is to manage and send it into the examination hall.
Ms.Beauty; yes it’s a smart short cut, I will help you in everything. I even know the director of the examination council.

(Some years later)

[Angel and Princess met.]

[Princess is buying gari at the road side when she saw Angel passing]

Princess; whom am I seeing! Is it Angel?
Angel; it’s me Princess, have you so soon forgotten of me?
Princess; no! I haven’t, you have changed so much.
Angel; God has been so good to me oh, I have graduated from the university, am now a manager and pastor.
Princess; wow!! You have made it, that is a great achievement.
Angel; what’s about you?
Princess; hmm! It’s sad, I am not able to complete school; I was withdrawn in my first year in the university. My parent didn’t help me; they allowed me to spend my precious time uselessly, instead of learning like you were doing. Now too daddy has also lost all his businesses.
Angel; Princess all is not lost yet, take it easy. You need to give your life to Jesus first and seek the kingdom of God and its righteousness and God will add all other things to you.
Princess; thank you, I will receive Jesus as my Lord and saviour today.
Angel: take my card and call me; take this money too for your pocket.
Princess: thanks so much.
Angel: bye-bye.
Princess: bye.
Princess: Am now to begin life. It is of more blessing for one to give his or her life to Jesus from childhood, by now I would have been at par with Angel. I will lay down the foundation of Christian home for my children and generations to come. May God help me.
